The narrative flips

Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that Russia’s foreign ministry and intelligence agencies were closely tracking efforts to influence voters.
“In the past years, the number of attempts to interfere in our domestic processes always increased ahead of presidential elections, as well as in the run-up to parliamentary elections,” Ryabkov told the TASS news agency.
“Such trends can also be seen during the current presidential campaign. The foreign ministry has been taking note of them, our agencies have been dealing with this issue.”
Ryabkov hinted that the efforts were concentrated online and consisted of “efforts by our opponents to sway young people.”
“Information warfare will grow far bitterer, and that’s something we will have to live with during the upcoming period,” he added.
Given that the establishment media has been claiming for well over a year that Russian interfered in the US presidential election with zero evidence to back it up, the bar for proof isn’t very high.
However, the U.S. government and deep state’s history of interfering in foreign countries is a matter of historical record.
Every time the population of a country votes against globalism, the establishment claims, with no evidence whatsoever to back it up, that it was because of Russian meddling.
The latest example is Italy, where populist party the Five Star Movement and Matteo Salvini’s Lega nationalists both performed well, with the establishment Democratic Party losing power.
“Italy’s joins long list of elections influenced by Russia. The question is: what are our democracies going to do about it?” asked former U.S. Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power.
In reality, Italians voted for change because they were sick of the country’s chronic migrant problem, its economic malaise and its dreadful relationship with the EU.
“In the past 2 years, Putin has won elections in the United States, Austria, Czechia & now Italy. He’s also delivered Brexit & performed well in France & Germany. It’s because there are no problems in the west & a large amount of people only vote to make Russia happy,” joked journalist Bryan McDonald.
